CAN YOU IDENTIFY ?

We will start putting photographs here of people we would like to find more information about.  If you think you can provide information about one or more of them, please email us at:

1. Can you or your elderly relatives identify these people or tell us what kind of shawl the man is wearing or shed information about the decorations on her dress? (The photos are larger if you save them to disk and view.)

These folks are connected in some way to the Illinois Scalf family and the photos were found among the family belongings of John Francis Scalf and Mary Helen Ferguson. The photos belong to Barbara Bowman, a descendant of John Francis Scalf and Mary Helen Ferguson.

The above pictures were found in the personal belongings of John Francis Scalf of Illinois and we don't know if they were of his direct family or what. The woman's picture was taken in Memphis.

2. This studio photo is also connected in some way to the Illinois Scalf family and the was found among the family belongings of John Francis Scalf and Mary Helen Ferguson. The photo belongs to Barbara Bowman, a descendant of John Francis Scalf and Mary Helen Ferguson.

On this one only, it has Texarkana Texas on the back of it. Might help identify them.

NOTE:
Georgianna Eunice (Morse) Alazar believes this is Mary Helen (Ferguson) Scalf, second wife of John Francis Scalf.

Georgianna is the daughter of Carrolyn Mae (Scalf) Morse, granddaughter of Neil Otto Scalf, great granddaughter of Otto Levy Scalf, great-great granddaughter of John Francis Scalf and Mary Helen (Ferguson) Scalf.
