Combining Old and New
NOTE: As of Oct. 27, 2025, I was able to purchase this site back - so scalf-family.org is once again up for your viewing. Although there is an updated appearance, the content is the same.
The links to photos and to the images of census records do not work... I was unable to retrieve those from the archives.
There have been many updates since the last time scalf-family.org was maintained. Virgil Scalf has embedded most of those images into Margaret Fleenor’s book Scalf Family in America,
so at this point, I don’t see a need to add those back. Eventually, scalf-family.com and scalf-family.org will be merged together, and I will only maintain one site.
- Stephen Scalf
Because the links on the old scalf-family.org refer to older versions of the following books, to avoid confusion by having different versions online, the links below connect to the same files on scalf-family.com:
The Third Manx Scrapbook,Chapter 1 (Section 7). The entire scrapbook can be viewed at the www.isle-of-man.com website. Henry P. Scalf relied heavily on this source for Chapter 2 - Genesis from
Chronicles of the Scalf Family, but this source contains additional information not found in that book.
Scalf's Indian River Medicine.
